To be in the Facebook is like joining a constant meeting with your university pals, work colleagues and acquittances. A meeting that I resisted until last year, when I signed up, tired of rejecting friends that constantly pushed me asking if I got Feisbuk…
The interesting part is that you are able to find those friends that you haven’t seen in years, and probably haven’t wanted to see ever again, hence you are superficially updated about what they do and a large etcetera.
Doing that and joining the wonderful Book of Faces, you officially accept in the user conditions that your profile photo can be use to endorse advertisement, so you don’t be surprise when you see your face promoting some hemorrhoids cream for sale. The second condition is that you can’t delete any content which you created:
“When you update information, we usually keep a backup copy of the prior version for a reasonable period of time to enable reversion to the prior version of that information.” Yawn, that’s tricky!
The effects of joining are various:
Facebook doesn’t creates absolutely anything new. It’s a simple mediator of relationships that already existed.
Are you ready to join the Book of Face’s ?

I just wanted to pick a project interesting in Spain, a successful one, in this days where a lot of sites are quite stuck because there is not money in the market. All newspapers everyday talk about crisis, airlines and planes falling down, so I decided not to read them for some time.
But instead, I log in to kroonos and it’s full of nice people, exchanging their time to help each other.
Something that not requires money, but time exchange, something that is totally independant of money crisis and it’s based solely on freedoom.
Yesterday I’ve been watching a Documentary of Sartre and I wanted to share:
Human, All to human. Jean Paul Sartre Part 1
This latest days I’ve been stressed and I’ve been FUCKING up things badly. As my readers now I hardly tell anything like this here…but I wanted to get it out of my chest.
Sorry about the friends that wanted to met me on Friday…but I better stay at home when I feel like this (Already learned the lesson on this one).
That said, I don’t feel sorry for myself, since it’s my entire fault and I should get through this fast and with good humor.
This weekend I’m taking care of my son Nel and I’m so proud of him, he is so full of positive energy, that I will upgrade my self to hook up.

Last Saturday, 6 of September, we had to cut down and reset to zero the credits at oysms.com. Oysms is still not dead and we are planning to maintain it as a paid service. The paid service will ‘ve no advertising and the option to change the outgoing number for a 11 characters text.
The thing is that the we had only 3 requests from a 600 users emailing. That’s really a 0,5 % of the userbase willing to get credits so it’s not worth to make the move and re-enable the service again.
I got some really discouraging replies, like “what a service! I knew you wouldn’t maintein it for long” and such, so I decided to write this post explaining a bit more the reasons to take this move. The people must understand that it’s not a decision we are happy to announce. And of course is not an easy task to maintain an online service like this with only 2 individuals having it as a side job. It was an experience that kept us busy even in the weekends and spending our free time to be able to keep this working. As you can guess, it’s very character building to receive that comments, when we’ve been spending so much time and money to keep something alive.
Even that we’ve run campaigns on the 10 seconds wait it is very hard to “monetize” campaigns like this. Primarly because you’ve get out and convince clients about a new way of advertising and in a second place because it’s not based on click thru but in impressions (Cause nobody has click intention when they are waiting for a send process)
It was this and another details, but at the end of the day it all resumes to the high costs and maintenance time that requires a website like oysms to be online.
We will keep the users informed if there is any new update about the service.
