At oysms.com you can send SMS’s that arrive with your mobile number. That said, this messages arrive with your real number, so your name should appear in the receiver’s phone (If he has you in it’s adress list, of course)

Till now the idea has been alright with most of the users and they seem to be happy with the system. Now there is a little problem and it’s the ambition to send more SMS’s than the system allows you. (1 by day / If you ‘ve less than 7 credits)

This latest days, I’ve been moderating the activity, and checking the user accounts. Apart of discovering many invented names as “LionHeart” or “Nacho Vidal”, a famous spanish porn actor, I’ve found users opening many accounts with different numbers. (Now all disabled)

The result is that 20 % of the accounts are deactivated. There is something that I think it’s really bad if we let this duplicated accounts to be used without any control:

  • As the sending number is the real one, this can be used to do identity theft, something that we don’t allow at all.
  • Less problematic, but disgusting, is the invented names issue. If we send a personalized newsletter I want it to arrive to a real person, with real name, not to “LionHeart”, even if you are a Lionheart’s lover.

Peter Koning, a Canadian colleague that I met through internet searching for affiliate solutions, has been researching about how to use the social networks to generate business.

At the very beginning social network sites as myspace and facebook restricted the business side of the social networks to avoid them becoming kind of “ebay”. But sales, are part of the social relations, and after some time the marketing techniques have evolved to adapt to this new social fenomenon. Actually we can see that each new artist has a micro-site in myspace and something similar on Facebook to promote their new record launches. Facebook has included a marketplace application and you can also generate pages for your products.

Facebook payday is a package with documentation to get started and also with interesting interviews of real case scenarios. As a “hands on” guide it’s ideal for anybody starting in this field, or even to enhance and improve your existing social skills.

I’m still reading part of the documentation, soon I will have more things to share and comment. For the people interested in the product I copy here the link to get it:

Last weekend we’ve been in S’Arenalet with a group of 9 friends.
The place is unforgettable, we will soon see some pictures, if the friends upload them. I prefer not to upload the ones from my camera because they are very low quality.
The walk, about 1 hour and a half from Cala Estreta, is of an incredible beauty and it’s all in the seaside. See more details about the walk here.
Highly recommended for the lovers of nature and paradisaic places beyond the sea.
