Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, guru to the Beatles, has died at the age of 91 in the Netherlands.

Maharishi started teaching meditation in 1955 and brought his techniques to the US in 1959. The road to became an international celebrity was paved when the Beatles went to one of his sessions in 1967. Later they went again to his ashram briging some of their famous friends as Donovan (And the TV cameras)

Everything went sour when John Lennon heard rumours about the Maharishi was sleeping with his women disciples, most notably, actress Mia Farrow.

Later on John wrote the song ‘Sexy Sadie’ about his hypocritical behavior. “Sexy Sadie, what have you done, you made a fool of everyone” he sang.

Looking at Mia’s pictures we can understand Sexy Sadie’s temptation.

Maharishi, after becoming a celebrity, toured all the world teaching his meditation discipline. He come to Mallorca the first time in the 1970’s and did one of his sessions in the Castel de Mar hotel (Cala Millor)

More than 200 followers worldwide came to his teaching after paying a very high invoice. The yogi was a good bussiness man and a celebrity till his last days. Requiescat in pace.
