This last three days I’ve been sick and most of the time at home so I’ve been quite bored. Then I found the time to do two things:

• Making a plastic hoder to film from the car with my mobile (this one is the video that I’m presenting below)
• And the second: Turning and old window into an Acoustic blinded one with cheap materials. I have to work a bit more to present this entry…

Ricardo Galli, the creator of meneame.net, decides to close his university blog after a formal request from the director of the UIB to retire one of his blog entries in fear of legal actions from Francesc Canals.
Francesc makes a living “telling stories”, like he explains on his  web “el observatorio de internet”:

Ricardo has now a new blog at ricardogalli.com were I hope he will be able to write without the restrictions of an University blog.

It’s been days I’ve been feeling weak but I kept going to waterpolo classes. On monday I felt really weak so I decided to skip the training and go to bed. I had fiber all the night and I had allucinations, really strange dreams that repeated themselves in a never ending loop.
So on tuesday I got out earlier from work and when to the Clinic. After the doctor examination and a couple of X-rays they discovered I have “bronquitis” a lung infection and another infection in my throat. I never though I could be that sick!

So now I will be 5 days in bed at home. Thanks to providence I have my laptop and a Vodafone USB modem to browse the web. It will be really boring though!

Make Internet TV: Introduction

Yesterday I sent an email to Dean Jansen, the Outreach Director of Miro, who commented on my last blog entry about the video downloader and administrator.
In that email apart of giving him my sincere feedback of the application, which I think is superb, I asked him what’s planned to return the investment. At a first glance as I see how slow the channels guide was, I though, WOW! this guys are generating so much traffic that it’s even killing their server. The guide is where they will make money and place on top the channels for a fee. I though wrong.
Dean replied to my question like this:

Simply great. I’m still amazed by Miro and the possibilities that opens for video creators in general.
Just a side comment, Joan Miro is also one of my favourite artist, and he lived a period of his life here in Mallorca. I took some photos when I went to see his place at the Pilar y Joan Miro Foundation and they are available on flickr if you wanna take a look.
