Peter Koning, a Canadian colleague that I met through internet searching for affiliate solutions, has been researching about how to use the social networks to generate business.

At the very beginning social network sites as myspace and facebook restricted the business side of the social networks to avoid them becoming kind of “ebay”. But sales, are part of the social relations, and after some time the marketing techniques have evolved to adapt to this new social fenomenon. Actually we can see that each new artist has a micro-site in myspace and something similar on Facebook to promote their new record launches. Facebook has included a marketplace application and you can also generate pages for your products.

Facebook payday is a package with documentation to get started and also with interesting interviews of real case scenarios. As a “hands on” guide it’s ideal for anybody starting in this field, or even to enhance and improve your existing social skills.

I’m still reading part of the documentation, soon I will have more things to share and comment. For the people interested in the product I copy here the link to get it:

Relatos de lo inesperado

At the moment I’m reading some Roald Dahl’s books, actually “Tales of the unexpected” which consists in 16 short tales with well written stories. I like Dahl because of his irony and black humour. It’s an enjoyable entertaining read. I hope someone recommends me more interesting authors like Roald.
